Green Twitter Lists: Following Made Simple

Twitter Lists Offer Easier Find & Follow Options-

So by now you’ve heard that Twitter has rolled out their Twitter: Lists feature where users can group Twitter accounts based on categories of their choosing. While this may not be exciting news to most, those of us that depend on Twitter to find and share useful information and news not available in the mainstream media, this appears to be a GREAT way to classify and group the overwhelming amount of information available.

While Twitter lists have existed through such sites as WeFollow, this marks the first time Twitter has offered such a platform to it’s users through it’s own interface. Earlier beta testing of the Lists feature had it’s quirks however. For example, the only way you could green-twitter-iconadd people to your lists was to add and classify them through your “following” list. This proved to be a time consuming process and one that was fixed before the Lists official launch today. Now, users can make their lists and add users through any one of the search features available to you. If you’ve noticed your Twitter “stats” area to be a little different, that’s because you’ll now see a “listed” section where you can see a snapshot of all lists people have added you to. For example, to see all the lists Green Energy News currently belongs to, navigate to http://twitter.com/GreenEnergyNews/lists/memberships.

So what exactly are these Twitter lists all about? In short, they make following and finding useful users and information easier and less time consuming. Take a second and review our current lists-in-progress (found below), and if you feel you should be listed, please leave a comment with your Twitter username and the proper list for inclusion and we’ll do our best to add you in a timely fashion! Of course, if you don’t do so already, please follow us on Twitter @GreenEnergyNews.

This is the cleverest (word?) use of online marketing I’ve seen yet — you have all the elements. Make a video of it, can it, and have a web cast… then it should win some kind of award.

    Please put @ActioCorp on:
