Natura Levo VAWT Earns International Design Excellence Award, Moves to Testing & Market Launch-

Art indeed imitates life as the latest design in vertical axis wind turbines hits prototype testing. Designed by Laura Sink while attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, the Natura Levo – translated Nature Lift, is a state-of-the-art VAWT with two nonconforming blades that are able to catch wind coming from any direction. Inspiration behind the Natura Levo design aims toward universal consciousness of clean, green energy while learning to coincide with our innate surroundings. Avant-garde VAWT designer Laura Sink has joined energy-efficiency technology design provider, Renewable PowerTech Inc (RPT), in a newly formed business arrangement which will initiate Natura Levo trial analysis and eventual release to the public. “RPT has the experience in the VC arena and many exciting mixed-use developments they have designed to be energy independent, this will allow the technology to be implemented in large numbers and we will hit the ground running.” The wind turbine design showcases an adaptable input electric generator, which matches wind speed with generating efficiency. RPT’s President Brian Mello conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the new wind technology, “We have fourteen best-in-class technologies that take our developments into off-grid status; the missing link on the green generation side was a small wind turbine that people can live with. Natura Levo completes our hybrid generation platform. We intend to spec them in our designs which will result in several thousand installations.” The wind turbines will additionally serve as electric vehicle (EV) charging stations throughout the country, with the charging post mounted to the base of Natura Levo wind turbines in common areas, shopping centers and commercial buildings. The charging stations will provide less strain on the grid from electric vehicles and offer green, renewable electricity to help sustain the future of America.

About Laura Sink – Laura designed the Natura Levo wind turbine wile attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. “Biomimicry is a huge inspiration of her work in designing products that are simply beautiful and as smoothly engineered as nature itself.”

Another great looking concept in verts. I look forward to see the numbers based on field testing. We have a lot request for proven local numbers. Any chance of getting one in Montana?

Wow. That is a nice design!

I think that if wind turbines are actually made to look like a work of art and not some boring steel structure that more people would be interested in installing them on their homes.
