Green Jobs Growing More Quickly Than Other Sectors
Green Job Prospects Mounting in America-
Over the past decade, the renewable energy sector has grown at a solid pace; accumulating new green jobs at more than twice the normal rate, according to a study by the Pew Charitable Trusts. “The Clean Energy Economy: Repowering Jobs, Businesses and Investments across America” report shows a first ever tally of actual green jobs, venture capital investments and companies which supply the increasing marketplace need for eco friendly products and services throughout the U.S. The report discovered that green energy are in position to develop considerably due to ever-increasing customer need, state and federal policy reforms and venture capital funding. “The clean energy economy is poised for explosive growth,” affirmed Lori Grange, interim deputy director of the Pew Center on the States. The study also found that energy efficient light bulb manufacturers, solar and wind power companies and environmental engineering groups stretched their workforce by 9.1 percent from 1998-2007, whereas standard job growth in all other trades reached a mere 3.7 percent. “There is bipartisan support and a growing market demand for transitioning to the clean energy economy,” stated the director of U.S. Global Warming Campaign at the Pew Environment Group, Phyllis Cuttino. It is an excellent prospect to see the transition from typical jobs to green energy jobs, as it creates new opportunities for business growth and helps protect our planet by cutting our reliance on fossil fuels.

I know Algae and Geothermal industries are growing but we rarely hear about these alternative energy fields. Algae technology is also ready to me marketed on a large scale which will open up a lot of jobs as mass production proceeds.
