IngoCar Prototype Offers Substantial Gas Mileage & Consumer Comfort-

Valentin Technologies has unveiled its contemporary IngoCar, a five-seat, four door sportwagen, which is currently in development. The Ingocar’s estimated mileage reaches 170 MPG based on a combination of city and rural driving, and is achieved with a revolutionary hydraulic-fluid drive. The hybrid gasoline-hydraulic drive allows rapid acceleration, and can go from 0-60 in 4 seconds. Utilizing a small engine, fluid is pumped into an accumulator; which then drives hydraulic wheel motors for shiftless momentum. When pumping the breaks, motors turn in reverse and pump all the recuperated braking energy back into the accumulator – successfully delivering an estimated range of 1,000 miles for a full 6 tank gallon of fuel. Ingo Valentin, the company’s founder, states that “finally outstanding performance and extremely high mileage are combined in a mid-size passenger car.” Hydraulics are also utilized to initiate a prolific protection system for occupants, with bumpers embedded into the car’s structure to absorb collisions up to 40 miles per hour. The IngoCar’s modular design was conceived by Davide Tonizzo, of designD. “Ingo wanted an image that reflected the car’s performance and its low emissions. The words athletic and friendly inspired the design.” Valentin affirms, “We are proud to unveil our vision of an automobile that has the style, interior space, comfort and cost of a BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E-Class combined with unprecedented range and fuel economy.” For additional information and concept images, visit Valentin Technologies online.
