That is actually untrue. There are many conference attendees and exhibitors who have not received any money back. The company took down all its websites and essentially skipped town, with hundreds of thousands of dollars in their pocket from people who signed up to attend and/or exhibit at this conference.

For what it’s worth, the company was not a fraud. Unfortunately, it went bankrupt before the conference and ultimately ended up refunding attendees and exhibitors.

I have reported it to BBB what ever its worth, but will do it to FTC also, is there any kind of regulations for these kind of fraudulent conferences… is there a legal recourse that can be taken?

My company paid for the ticket entrance ($300) and I never got a refund, not even an answer!
I called, and e-mail them many times until their address did not work anymore. I also contacted the San Diego Convention Center, which seems to have no further information, and is apparently waiting for payments as well :

“conference cancelled” and not “postponed” indeed…

So I set a complaint against EngEx to the Federal Trade Commission.
We should all do the same : http://www.ftc.gov/

I am surprised there is not more information on the web about this swindling.

I am trying to track these guys too… this guy in the interview is Kausain Sheikh, apparently he is busy getting married,I was able to find him on facebook…

We had a person register online as well. We were advertising for this event for months and they were communicating to us weekly. Kate Hagen was the name of the person (not sure if she is real or not) who took our forms and setup our account. Even provided content for the ads. Looked very legitimate. Now my emails go unanswered. Never got paid for the registrations I collected on their behalf.

Does anyone know what happened here?

I know. We had a person sign up underneath us who was never refunded for their booth space. We have been trying to get ahold of them to see if/when they will reschedule the conference, but their website, along with all social media sites have been removed. Very strange.
