Convenient Remote Control Hybrid Lawn Mower by Southern RobotX-

With hybrid vehicles becoming sort of a consumer standard for fuel efficiency and smaller environmental impact, the makers of Southern RobotX Remote Control Mowers are cashing in on this lucrative technology to offer the conscious consumer a more energy-efficient and eco-friendly lawn trimmer. Hybrid technology is certainly not considered 100 percent “green” by any means, but it is most definitely a push in the right direction as the EPA reports that lawn mowers are accountable for approximately 5 percent of America’s air pollution. Electric mowers and reel mowers are currently the most effective products available to avoid expelling dangerous CO2 pollutants into the atmosphere, but unfortunately they are really only useful on small lawns. The hybrid mowers offered by Southern RobotX use a patented hybrid power structure that helps to mitigate energy-efficient-hybrid-remote-lawn-mowerfuel usage by 40 percent when compared to other mowers and is convenient to use, no matter the size of your lawn. Not to mention, the mower cuts down on man power by unthinkable proportions, as it is fully powered using a remote control – no more paying for 5-8 lawn maintenance professionals to come by and trim your spacious lawn when you can do it all with the touch of a finger! Interesting concept, one worth looking into deeper. However, as is, you will still need a traditional mower for cutting near any edges. Not to mention the need to follow the mower as it cuts. I don’t think that they factored in time, into that “green” quality. A mower that spews twice the emissions of this device, for less than half the time, is equally as bad. With those tank-treads, you have to mow your lawn twice. The second time is to mow down all the grass that stood back up, after it was mashed-down by the treads.

How much pollution was made making this? What is the cost of remote control power source recharging? If it costs 5x the price, that is 5x longer that I have to drive to work, to make money for this device. If there are no replacement parts, it is just junk in two years when it breaks.

Sorry, this is just another toy, but a step in the right direction. Fine print and hidden costs… another example of, “Pushing pollution under the carpet, or into your neighbors back-yard.” Do politicians invent these things, or do they just handle the promotional advertisements?
